The River at Looe

Looe is a working fishing port and boats go out every day to fish and there is a fishing market in a warehouse on the side of the river selling fresh fish daily to shops, restaurants etc. If you get up early enough you can watch the fishermen bring their catches home and sell them. I don't believe Jenny has ever managed this feat!

The main town of Looe consistes of shops on one side of the road and the river on the other. This is about 2 minutes walk from the Cottage

All along the riverside at Looe there are boats offering boats trips - fishing trips, boat rides and boat taxi lifts to nearby villages and back. There are normal motor boats, high speed boats and glass bottomed boats to see the wildlife underneath!
