Is everything is Looe wonderful???.....nope. Looe has millions of the biggest, fattest seagulls ever. They are attracted to the fishing boats and generally to the area around the river.
If you ever thought seagulls were pretty, little, seaside birds, think again. They are HUGE! Bring ear plugs because they start this awful noise from about 5am. Although Laura did used to run away from them when she was little .....everyone runs away from seagulls in Looe. They scare me too.
The sides of the river are covered in notices like this. We have never seen a seagull be vicious however they swoop too close to you and give you the feeling they might be vicious if they felt like it.
