After Beth's gorgeous dinner we decided to have a little stroll to look at the river before doing the washing up.It had really really rained and we wanted to see how high the river was after the rain.
It was drizzling a little and we were a little unsure having showered and put clean dry clothes on after being out all day.
The tide was so high we took a photo and the floor was a bit wet in flip flops.
We has some group photos in front of the river
We went to the slipway across the front of the Lifeboat House to see an amazing high tide come up and down the path crashing into the doors of the Lifeboat House at its height.
Someone ...why is it always someone and we never remember who....said...lets try and see if we can run across before the tide comes in.
When the tide went out ...there was a clear path in front of the Lifeboat House.
When the tide came in...the Lifeboat House doors got very wet
The plan was to try and run across the path in front of the Lifeboat House and beat the tide. There was plenty of time to make it across....if you got your timing right.
So began Looe 2010 Lifeboat House Chicken Run
Lydz didn't quite make it this time
Successful 'Chicken Run' across the front of the Lifeboat Station. Not all were as successful as this. I remember Lydz saying at this point - 'Oh no - I've got the bottom of my leggings wet!'
